ERBIL () - Businesses across the Kurdistan Region can now pay municipal service fees digitally through the E-Psula platform and receive a 20 percent discount on each payment made through the system, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism announced Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the ministry on Tuesday, businesses can use E-Psula to pay various municipal financial dues and service fees, including waste collection fees and charges for signs and television and laser advertisements.
The ministry said businesses will receive a 20 percent discount for every payment completed through the E-Psula system.
The ministry said the E-Psula digital platform saves considerable time for business owners and citizens while providing a simple, fast and convenient experience for financial transactions.
Under the payment mechanism, citizens and businesses can use electronic banks and wallets that have received official authorization from the Central Bank of Iraq.
The approved services listed by the ministry include FastPay, FIB, AsiaPay, NassWallet, ZainCash, IIB, Cihan Bank, NBI and RTB.
The Kurdistan Regional Government’s E-Psula financial program was announced in February by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani as part of the Ninth Cabinet’s steps and strategy to expand financial inclusion, reduce bureaucracy and digitalize public services.
The latest measure extends the use of the platform to municipal payments, allowing businesses to complete eligible transactions digitally while benefiting from the 20 percent discount.
