ERBIL () — Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, chairman of the Council of Ministers, on Saturday sent messages of condolence to President Masoud Barzani following the death of Abdulwahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul-Salam Barzani.
The condolence messages expressed sympathy to President Barzani over the passing of Abdulwahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul-Salam Barzani.
King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman conveyed their condolences to Barzani and expressed their sympathies over the loss.
On Sept. 4, 2026, President Barzani announced the passing of the eldest brother of the Barzani family, Abdulwahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul-Salam Barzani.
In his message, Barzani described the deceased as a descendant of national and religious leader Sheikh Abdul-Salam Barzani and praised him as an example of religious devotion, piety, benevolence, and a prominent and respected figure within the Barzani family.
