ERBIL () — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Sunday received outgoing Maher Al-Karaki, Consul General of Palestine, as the Palestinian diplomat concluded his mission in the Kurdistan Region, according to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani thanked Al-Karaki for his efforts to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and Palestine.
For his part, Al-Karaki thanked the KRG for its cooperation and support throughout his tenure.
He also expressed appreciation for the KRG’s provision of scholarships to Palestinian students at universities in the Kurdistan Region.
The Palestinian consul general further praised the assistance provided to the Palestinian people by the Barzani Charity Foundation.
