Washington pledges support for Baghdad disarmament drive as deadline nears

The United States will support efforts by Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi to bring all arms under state control, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday, as the September 30 deadline to hand over weapons approaches, less than a week away.
